 Quick Chek New Jersey
Festival of Ballooning!

Laurie Berkner 2018

Saturday Featured Concert

With hit songs spanning a half dozen genres, Lifehouse is an American rock band like no other.

With 100 hot air balloons hanging in the air, attendees at the 36th annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Association with PNC Bank will be “Hanging by a Moment” as the legendary alternative rock band headlines the Festival’s live concert series on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Presented by the New Jersey Lottery, Lifehouse will perform on the Progressive Insurance Main Stage at 8:00 p.m. following the Festival’s evening mass hot air balloon ascension at 6:30 p.m. and in conjunction with the nighttime hot air balloon glow.

Lifehouse first broke through in a big way in 2001 when “Hanging By a Moment” from their No Name Face album spent 20 weeks in the Top 10, won a Billboard Music Award for “Hot 100 Single of the Year” and became the biggest mainstream hit of the summer of 2001.

Since then, the band led by Jason Wade’s signature voice and heartfelt songwriting talents, Bryce Soderberg (bass, vocals) and Ricky Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion) has enjoyed success on the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, Alternative, Adult Top 40, Mainstream Top 40, Adult Contemporary and Adult Pop charts.

Following their debut album, the band has released six more albums, three of which made the Billboard Top 10, and sold over 15 million records worldwide. Hit singles include “You and Me,” “Whatever it Takes,” “Broken,” “Halfway Gone,” “Between the Raindrops” and “Hurricane.”

“We’re pleased to have Lifehouse bring their high energy rock and intimate acoustic moments to our concert series,” said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman. “Their ability to perform adult mainstream and alternative rock will appeal to our wide ranging and diverse audience.”
